Our Mission
Our mission is to promote Southwest Washington by increasing convention and visitor business.
The Southwest Washington Convention & Visitors Bureau is a non-profit organization funded through a local tourism promotion area that levies a charge collected by lodging establishments throughout Clark County. Our main objective is to improve visibility and create awareness and visitation to the region. With the support of key hospitality industry and tourism leaders, we are developing an image of Southwest Washington that makes us an attractive and desirable destination.
Making it Happen
With the combined effort of our board and community stakeholders, we are proactively marketing Southwest Washington to potential visitors, meeting planners, group tour operators, and business travelers.
Affecting the Bottom Line
- In 2005, annual travel expenditures in Clark County equaled $329 Million
- The travel industry contributed $88 million in travel related job earnings
to Clark County
- Nearly $24 million in local, regional and state taxes are generated here every year through tourism
